Friday, following the Thursday's fashion presentation, Design and Dine, Smith II kicked off a fashionable weekend with his runway show in Guapo Skatepark. It was the first ever runway show in the venue and it was a collaborative that included THRWD Magazine, which made the show even more amazing. SMITH II designed by Charles Smith II is one of my favorite works of art for this fashion season. He has found his identity in the fashion industry and has managed to make everyone else fall in love with his sense of self-awareness and creativity. I love the person he is and his ability to reflect who and what he is truly inspired by in his recent collection. I love the inspiration of the Chanel suit and pearl details as well as the twisted mythical theme that followed the loud piano dings from the expressionistic music. I loved the thematic and entertaining aspect that he decided to include in the production of the show because unfortunately it is not seen a lot in the South. It was out-of-the-box as far as traditional Dallas fashion and it highlighted the strength of Dallas' young talent!
