Jenny Robinson x SayBrea | BTS.

To wrap up the an eventful weekend of shooting, etc., I styled a shoot for SayBrea of Cosign Mag. Our model was Jenny Robinson, a Jersey native, hip hop artist out of Dallas. I was very pleased with the creativity of the overall shoot and my free reign over the wardrobe. For this shoot, I used Le'Venity clothing, which turned out to be perfect for the looks. Can't wait to see the finished product.

LIVING Magazine | BTS

Assisting Juan at the LIVING Magazine shoot was number one on the to-do list upon my arrival in Dallas immediately returning from Houston, Sunday evening. Juan mentioned that we would be shooting all day but I had no idea that 10 hours would consist of four different locations, four models, and four designers (Lucy Dang, Escada, Roberto Cavalli and Le'Venity). Also, the wonderful jewelry designers Carinthia of Couture Rocks and Britt of  Bohem Unique Gems were also there to accessorize with their one-of-a-kind pieces. With that being said, we switched in and out of different hairstyles and makeup. By the 4th location, I was completely frozen and running on low fuel. I still had an hour drive into where my apartment is actually located, but it deemed all the more worth it after snapping a few behind-the-scenes photos. We started at the Lucy Dang showroom and studio where I drooled over the incredibly made Lucy Dang Mood Wall. The color arrangement was flawless, so snapping around the studio was inevitable. It was also great to meet such talented individuals. I can now say that I've worked with Brandon Lyon, an astute photographer that I don't mind mentioning in my portfolio. Until next time...

Mieux and Mieux Look Book Behind-The-Scenes (BTS)

Wow, this past weekend was absolutely bananas. Seriously, I haven't done anything remotely close to sleep, but it was all worth it in the end. In a previous post I mentioned my affiliation with the styling of the Mieux and Mieux look book and website features. It was an enjoyable experience and I even got my first taste of a pumpkin spice latte. I think I officially love everything pumpkin! lol Well, anyways, this was only one of three shoots over the weekend and I think that I will like the outcome of them all. You'll just have to see.

Hi!

After being snowed in for the past four or five days, you would think I had been blogging up a storm, but no my roommates and I watched movies upon movies and completely pigged out. The break that we needed was fulfilled. Unfortunately we were called back to campus today for a few hours of work, but since we've missed so much time at work, I guess it's cool  to be making some money again.  However, I won't say that the break was all games; it was also a time to brainstorm and conceptualize my next fashion moves.

Aside from being heartbroken that I wasn't cool enough to attend the Chanel Dallas show featuring Karl Lagerfeld, I had to discover some pick-me-ups of my own. I am planning a year-long project with one of my close friends whom is a photographer in Dallas and we are beyond excited! We are always looking for ways to work with each other and we have finally come up with a concept that will creatively suit us both.That project begins January 18th and we're still working out the finalization for it.

This week, I will be styling for Mieux and Mieux fore their latest look-book. I still remember reaching out to the owner when she first opened and now Mieux and Mieux has gained a significant amount of traffic over time and I"m glad to say that I was along for the ride. It feels great to be requested to style a shoot and I am so excited to be involved in this entity of her business. I'm realizing that a lot of the business connections that I have are from me reaching out to them- not the other way around. Fashion is one of those industries where success is only truly attained if you take the risks that are necessary. No one will hand you anything...ever. In working with the agency, I had to reach out to them and let them know that I was interested in styling; no one came and asked me, offered anything to me, or even knew that I existed. We are swimming in a large pond, in case you were unaware and it gets hard from time to time. But what you want to happen, you have to make it happen. Okay now I'm off my soapbox!

On Sunday, I will be assistant styling a shoot with Living Magazine, which was brought to me by Juan and Monday I will be solo styling a test shoot with Cosign Mag. I must say that I am very satisfied with the gigs that I have coming up and I can't wait to show you pictures.

Anne Ferrer's Inflatable Trench Flowers

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot some behind the scenes footage of a photoshoot for the avante garde inflatable creations by the Parisian artist, Anne Ferrer. The beautiful trench flowers were my word of the day, and I'm very grateful to have met such talented individuals. This shoot was very conceptual and resembled that of sculptures brought to life. At the end, we celebrated the idea of having behind-the-scenes footage of such a fun shoot, so I am not only glad that I experienced this, but that I have the opportunity to share it with everyone!!! Be inspired. Always, by everything.
